PDHPE to HMS HSC Exam Dashboard
A searchable HMS practice dashboard, built from 10 years of PDHPE HSC exam patterns, rewritten and mapped to the new Health and Movement Science syllabus. Find questions to use straight away, support peer marking, reduce your marking load.
Annual licence. 13 months of access from the purchase date.
You are preparing the first HMS cohort without the ease of HMS past papers.
PDHPE teachers are preparing students for the first HMS HSC exam without HMS past papers to draw on. This dashboard gives you a practical way to use past HSC patterns carefully, while practising exams for the new HMS syllabus.
No HMS past papers yet
Teachers need exam-style practice before official HMS past papers exist. Old PDHPE questions can help, but they need to be found, aligned, and possibly rewritten and checked. This dashboard gives teachers HMS-style questions ready to use.
No time for feedback
Feedback matters, but your time is limited. The dashboard and bonus exams help students practise, peer mark and recognise stronger responses, so feedback becomes more regular without every response needing teacher marking.
Revision needs to be targeted
Revision can feel productive, but students improve faster when practice is linked to a specific dot point, verb or mark value. The dashboard helps teachers move from general revision to focused exam preparation.
Buy it today. Use it today.
The issue is not whether students need exam-style practice questions. It is finding dot-point aligned questions quickly, giving regular feedback, and building exam-writing habits before students sit the first HMS HSC.
The dashboard helps your students practise exam writing more often without you needing to build every question, marking guide or feedback prompt from scratch. No school has NESA past papers for HMS yet, so give your students an advantage by giving them the next best thing.
Find a question to use in class today
You need useful practice quickly, and it has to fit the new HMS syllabus rather than only partly match.
Open the dashboard, filter by topic, verb or mark value, and choose a question that directly matches the dot point in seconds.
Find questions for the dot point you are teaching
You know the topic students need, but you do not have time to spend your evening hunting through old PDHPE papers.
Filter by HMS dot point and open a question card you can use immediately in class for modelling, discussion or student practice.
Target the exact verb students need
Students struggle with particular verbs like “analyse”, “evaluate” and “to what extent”.
Use the directive verb filter to find questions that help students practise the specific exam-writing skill they need to improve.
Filter by mark value
Sometimes you need a quick multiple-choice check. Other times, you need students to practise a longer 8 or 12 mark response.
Use the mark-value filters to choose questions that fit the time available, the lesson purpose and the level of challenge students are ready for.
Filter by HMS outcome
You are not only teaching content. You are also helping students demonstrate the outcomes they will be assessed against.
Use the outcome filter to find questions linked to specific HMS outcomes, making it easier to plan focused revision, skill practice or assessment preparation.
Quickly find the original PDHPE question
You remember there was a useful PDHPE HSC question on CVD that used “analyse”, but you do not want to search through years of past papers to find it.
Use the past-paper reference index to see the exam year, question number, verb, marks and syllabus focus, so you can go straight to the right PDHPE paper when you want to use a NESA original question.
We’ve gone through 10 years of past HSC PDHPE questions for you.
Start with the teaching need in front of you. Instead of sifting through years of old PDHPE papers, checking the syllabus, comparing verbs and working out whether a question fits, open the dashboard and go straight to the dot point, outcome, mark or verb you need.
What this saves you from doing manually.
The groundwork of the HMS transition, already done. You start from a mapped, ready-to-use system today.
Everything to teach, practise and mark HMS, in one place.
Built from 10 years of PDHPE HSC exam patterns, rewritten for the HMS syllabus and organised the way students need to improve: target by dot point, by verb, by mark value.
384 rewritten PDHPE-to-HMS practice questions
All questions in the last 10 years have been analysed and mapped. Relevant past-paper-style questions have been rewritten as original HMS practice questions and mapped to the new syllabus where the old PDHPE content clearly fits HMS. Some new HMS dot points may not have questions because they did not exist in the old PDHPE syllabus, and the dashboard does not force old content into new areas where it does not fit.
BONUS: 5 printable mini exam PDFs
Five 30-mark, 50-minute HMS-style mini exams are included as downloadable PDFs in your account. They use selected practice questions from the dashboard and are arranged into ready-to-print class practice exams, so you can run timed revision without building the exam yourself.
Question cards with marking support
Written-response question cards include marking criteria, expected content, stronger-response notes, common mistakes and feedback notes, so teachers and students have a clearer reference point when practising responses.
Support for peer marking
Use the dashboard guidance to help students compare responses against criteria, identify what has been shown and improve their next attempt without every practice response needing full teacher marking.
10 takeaways from PDHPE HSC patterns
Exam-intelligence notes that turn 10 years of PDHPE HSC patterns into practical teaching insights for HMS. See what tended to appear, how questions were commonly framed, where students may need stronger exam-writing habits, and what teachers can do now to prepare more deliberately.
Past PDHPE reference index
A searchable reference index showing the PDHPE exam year, question number, verb, marks, original focus and HMS link status. Use it when you want to locate an original NESA PDHPE question quickly, without searching through years of past papers.
The 12-marker response tools
A dedicated 12-marker section to help students plan, check and strengthen extended responses. Includes a response checklist and useful judgement language word bank, so students can practise making clearer judgements in high-mark HMS responses.
Verb toolkit
Check what a directive verb actually requires, model stronger language, and plan revision with exam-intelligence notes. Includes a past PDHPE to HMS reference index showing what carried over and what’s new.
Bonus: 5 Printable Mini Exam Packs
The dashboard gives you the searchable question system. The bonus PDFs give you five ready-to-print mini exams using selected dashboard questions, so you can move straight from finding questions to running timed practice in class.
Each mini exam is designed as a 30-mark, 50-minute HMS-style practice exam. Use them for timed revision, homework, exam preparation, peer marking or a full class practice lesson.
These PDFs are included as a bonus with every dashboard licence and are downloadable from the licence holder’s account.

Here’s the case, already written.
Most faculties fund this from the department budget. Forward the note below to make the decision easy.
Hi [name],
I wanted to ask whether we could consider purchasing the Faculty licence for the PDHPE to HMS HSC Exam Intelligence Dashboard.
As we prepare students for the first HMS HSC, one of the biggest practical issues is building enough syllabus-aligned practice without every teacher having to create questions, marking guidance and revision activities separately.
This resource would give the faculty access to:
- 384 HMS-style practice questions mapped to syllabus dot points, directive verbs, mark values and outcomes
- Year 12 HMS practice questions and Year 11 foundation questions
- 5 printable 50-minute mini exam packs
- marking criteria, expected content and feedback notes
- teacher dashboard access for planning, revision and marking support
- a past PDHPE reference index to help locate useful original NESA questions quickly
I think it would be useful because it gives us a shared bank of practice questions and a more consistent marking reference across classes. It would also save time when planning revision, building exam-style tasks and giving feedback.
The Faculty licence is $347 per year and covers up to 5 teacher accounts for 13 months from the purchase date. It gives the faculty shared teacher dashboard access for planning, revision and marking support. If we need student access across multiple classes, there is a separate faculty student access option.
Would you be happy to approve this from the faculty budget?
Thanks,
[your name]
Questions teachers tend to have
Is this a downloadable PDF?
No. This is a digital dashboard accessed through your Improving PDHPE account after purchase. The 5 mini exams are included as downloadable PDFs, but the main product is the online dashboard.
How do I access the dashboard?
Individual Licence: After purchase, log in using the account created at checkout. Dashboard access will be linked to that individual account.
Class Licence: After purchase, log in using the account created at checkout. Dashboard access will be linked to the purchaser’s account. Student-facing access is then set up for one class cohort, up to 25 students. Student access codes are provided after the class numbers are confirmed.
Faculty Licence: After purchase, log in using the account created at checkout. Dashboard access will be linked to the purchaser’s account. You will then receive four additional individual access codes within 24 hours, allowing other members of your PDHPE faculty to create their own accounts and access the dashboard. Each staff member must use their own login. Account sharing is not permitted.
Does this predict the HMS HSC exam?
No. The dashboard is built from analysed PDHPE HSC exam data, but it cannot predict future HMS exams. It is designed to help teachers use past exam patterns carefully while preparing students for the first HMS HSC exam.
Are the original PDHPE questions included?
No. The dashboard does not include original NESA question text or original NESA marking criteria. Each item in the dashboard is an original HMS-style practice question developed from analysed PDHPE HSC exam patterns. Past-paper references are included so teachers can locate the original source if needed.
Can I use this for my faculty?
Individual Licence: The Individual Licence is for one teacher only. It must not be shared with other staff members, faculties or schools.
Faculty Licence: The Faculty Licence provides access for the purchasing teacher plus four additional members of the same PDHPE faculty. Each staff member receives access through their own account. Shared logins are not permitted.
Need student access across multiple classes? Contact us for a faculty student access option.
Can I use this with my class?
Yes. Teachers with an Individual Licence may use the dashboard to support their own teaching, planning, revision activities and classroom instruction. This includes projecting questions, using the content in class, and drawing on the dashboard to prepare student activities.
The Individual Licence does not include student logins, student account access or permission to share your login details with students.
If you would like students to access a student-facing version independently, choose the Class Licence. This is designed for homework, independent revision, self-paced learning, peer marking, self-marking and student-centred classroom activities.
The Class Licence includes access for one purchasing teacher and access to a separate student-facing dashboard for one class cohort, up to 25 students. Students do not receive access to the teacher dashboard. They receive access to the student-facing version.
Student access codes are provided after class numbers are confirmed.
What is the difference between the teacher dashboard and the student-facing dashboard?
The teacher dashboard and student-facing dashboard are built from the same PDHPE to HMS question bank.
The teacher dashboard is designed to support teacher planning, revision preparation, classroom instruction and guided use of the resource. The student dashboard is designed for student use, with student-appropriate guidance so students can work through questions more independently for practice, revision, homework, peer marking and self-marking.
Students do not receive access to the teacher dashboard.
Does this dashboard cover every HMS dot point?
No. This dashboard is built from past PDHPE HSC exam questions that have been reworked and mapped to the new HMS syllabus where the old PDHPE content clearly fits.
Some HMS dot points are new. Those areas may not have reworked past-paper questions in this dashboard. This is why the dashboard should be understood as a PDHPE to HMS exam transition resource, not a complete HMS question bank.
How long does an annual licence last?
Each annual licence includes 13 months of access from the purchase date. This gives teachers, classes and faculties a full year of use, with an extra month to support set-up and handover.
Ensure your students walk in prepared, not guessing.
Give your first HMS cohort syllabus-aligned practice
